Fill out the form below and it will take you to the Utah State Website in a new window and give you your precinct and polling place.
At the bottom of that page will be a button to View your elected official.
When you pull up the elected official page, it will list their name, Office then district number.
After getting your district number you can come back to our page and look up the candidates for your district.
Public Employees have the right to know how the candidates, if elected, will vote on public employee issues. In the past, we had to wait-and-see if they were going to support our issues or not. We have been in a reactive mode, fighting against bad legislation that was written by an elected official that was not public employee friendly.
The members of UAGE-CWA are working together to turn this around. We want to be proactive instead of reactive. We have asked each candidate ten questions on how he or she will treat public employees. Their answers are here on our site for all public employees to review before you vote.
It is critical to begin voting for candidates that will give us fair wages and benefits – just remember “Public Employee Friendly”.
Here’s how it works. Use the menu on the left to find your candidates. The areas that have more than one district will open a drop down menu for the districts running in 2010. If your district is not listed there is not a race this year.
Click on the race and it will bring up the candidates in that race. Click on their name to see how they answered our survey.
Finally, on Election Day, vote for the candidate(s) that will support you and your family by putting food on your table and making your career choice rewarding.
SUGGESTION:
Use the form on the right to make sure you know all the offices you will vote for on Election Day (This page will list the current candidate in that office). Write down the office and the district number, if included, that you will be voting for. Come back to our site and look up the candidates for each of the offices. Write down who you are going to vote for and why.
The contact information for most candidates is available from our site. Contact the candidates you will be supporting and ask them how you can help on their campaign. They will all generally take donations, however it not money that wins elections, it’s votes. Most candidates would love to have your help knocking on doors and other grass roots efforts to get them elected.
Talk to your neighbors, friends, relatives, and co-workers about who and why you are supporting. Get their support and ask them to do the same.
If we all start talking and working together, we can make a real change as public employees in the 2010 election.
